RugbyFest 2025

RugbyFest is a nationwide celebration of rugby, taking place from Friday 3 to Monday 6 October 2025. It follows the conclusion of the fabulous Women’s Rugby World Cup and is a chance for communities to come together and celebrate the tournament.
Lots of the North East clubs are running events, including:
- Whitley Bay RFC are running a Women and Girls Come and Try afternoon on 4th Oct between 1-3pm. This is a fun, non-contact session of activities and games allowing you to experience the skills of playing rugby. The session will be lead by qualified coaches from their women’s, girl’s and Touch rugby sections. Come and see what the club offers for females aged 5 to 99+
- Houghton RUFC are running a Future Roses Rising session on 5th Oct between 10-12:30pm. Celebrate the Rugby World Cup with fun, friendship & rugby! Girls 6-18 can try the game with small sided matches, skills & laughs. Plus meet an England Red Rose for inspiration - the next star could be YOU!!
- Darlington RFC are holding a Ladies and Girls Introduction to Rugby on 2nd Oct between 7-9pm. They're celebrating 25 years of women's rugby with two special Open Training Sessions for U18s & women.
- Darlington Mowden Park RFC are hosting Girls Rugby in Darlington on 4th Oct between 12-1:30pm. They'll be getting women and girls together to celebrate the Women's World Cup.
