Remembrance Service & Parade - Newcastle

Thousands are expected to gather in Newcastle city centre on Sunday 9 November to honour our armed forces, past and present.
The military parade will assemble at the Civic Centre, Barras Bridge, before proceeding with the following commemorative events:

• 10:45am: Military parade forms up on Blackett Street
• 10:50am The Lord Mayor’s civic party will process to Old Eldon Square from Brunswick Chapel
• 10:58am: Service of Remembrance at the City War Memorial, Old Eldon Square, led by the Bishop of Newcastle, the Right Rev Dr Helen-Ann Hartley
• 11:00am: Two-minute silence marked by a gun signal
• Following the service, the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Cllr Henry Gallagher, will take the salute at Grey’s Monument as the parade marches past
