Exploring botanical art

Fancy kicking off 2026 with something a bit creative? There’s a brilliant botanical art workshop happening at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens.
It’s on Thursday 15th January at 1pm, and it’s a relaxed, arty afternoon just for adults. You’ll explore treasures from the museum collection, head outside for a bit of nature-inspired creativity, then settle in with a cuppa to create your own mixed-media botanical artwork.
All materials are included, no experience needed — just turn up, get inspired and enjoy a really lovely start to the new year.
