On Tuesday 17 February Discovery Museum is welcoming all families for a free fun-day celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year. Welcome in the Year of the Horse with family making activities, crafts and tasty treats. We’ll be decorating the museum with your help and learning about the traditions of the festival.
Chinese New Year is a key celebration for Chinese and British Chinese communities, including here in Newcastle. This is the first year marking the festival at the museum. Free, just drop in from 11am – 2pm.
