Where to Start with Morgan Seatree
The Florence remix is your easiest entry point. After that, everything else clicks into place.
The entry point
Start with his 2024 remix of Florence + the Machine's Say My Name. It's the track that's brought him the most attention, and it's a genuinely accessible way in even if you've never listened to dance music before. You don't need any scene knowledge. Just press play.
The next steps
Once that's settled, work through these in order:
- Follow You (feat. Abi Flynn), 2024. His own production this time, vocal-led and a strong second listen.
- Higher (feat. Leah Rose), 2021. A step back in time to hear his earlier sound.
- Positivity EP, 2020. Where it all began.
- La Di Da (feat. Jem Cooke) and Hold Me (feat. Abi Flynn), both 2025. His most recent work.
Who he is in 60 seconds
He's a DJ and producer from Manchester. Active since 2019, working across house, techno, disco and funk. His whole thing is taking 1990s house and garage sounds and making them feel modern. He went to Parklife at 16 and decided that's what he wanted to do for life. That's still the driving force behind everything.
The network backing him
Beyond the music itself: he founded his own label, Unfussy, in March 2022. Multiple sold-out events already. He's signed to Ministry of Sound on a three-track deal. He's played Warehouse Project in Manchester. He has support from Richy Ahmed, Folamour, Jamie Jones and Patrick Topping. That's serious credibility this early in a career.
What should I listen to first?
The Florence remix. It's the most widely recognised release he's done and genuinely excellent regardless of your music background.
