A Love Island post made Make Me Feel Good go viral, and Jazzy from Dublin turned that moment into a permanent chart presence.
The demo that changed the game
Yasmine Byrne, born 1996 in Crumlin, Dublin, is Jazzy. Before the world knew her by that name she was singing as Jazzy Yaz with Powerful Creative Minds, a Dublin band working local circuits.
Nothing about that prepared anyone for what came next. "Make Me Feel Good" with Belters Only dropped on 26 November 2021 via Polydor. It went nowhere for a month. Then in December 2021, Love Island's Lucinda shared it on TikTok and everything shifted overnight.
By February 2022, number one in Ireland and top 10 in the UK. The first Irish female dance artist to top the Irish chart in 14 years. The first Irish dance act of any kind to hit number one at home since Mark McCabe in 2000.
The proof it wasn't a fluke
One viral moment doesn't make a career. "Giving Me" landed in May 2023 and debuted at number one on the Irish Singles Chart, making her the first female Irish solo artist to score a number one debut in over 14 years. It climbed to number three on the UK Official Singles Chart.
That October she released "Constellations", her six-track debut EP. A real body of work, not just a hit single. By 2025, SoundCloud named her the platform's most-streamed female electronic music artist. A seven-date UK tour is booked for November and December 2026.
