A wonderful place to visit is Ouseburn Farm in Newcastle.
Open Tues-Sun from 10am-3pm.
It's free entry and there are lots of animals to see including goats, snakes, pigs, chickens, geese, a parrot, chinchillas and more. There is also a free sensory trail around the garden.
They are a registered charity, and also a "Care Farm" with placement programmes for adults with learning disabilities, helping those they work with to learn new skills and connect with nature.
